Motrex LLC Distribution Center Associate in Kansas City, Kansas
Overview
Stryten Manufacturing is currently hiring a Distribution Center Associate. You will provide support to the Distrubution Center operations specifically for ordering, pulling parts and shop supplies; ensuring specifications, quantity and quality of orders are correct; verifying stock and keeping logs of various floor equipment. You will maintain an organized layout and safe work environment.
Starting pay rate is $14.50 per hour.

Responsibilities
Shipping
Meet all daily shipping requirements
Pull all cell orders and package for daily shipments we currently ship 50 to
100 cells per day
Pick or weigh all parts for daily orders
Print all orders in JDE
Verify all orders to schedule
Check inventory levels to determine if there is sufficient stock to meet all order requirements. Orders are entered everyday with insufficient stock levels to meet order requirements.
Call and schedule pick up with each carrier for days business
Create all Fed Ex shipping labels in website
Schedule all next day air orders with Fed Ex and UPS
Close out all open orders each day to ensure all orders for each day were completed on time
Create all BOL and Packing slips for each order
Customer Service
Answer all calls from customer service relating to current and future orders relating to current stock and timeline for stock availability.
Schedule expedited shipments to meet customer timeline
Check orders for mistakes and contact customer service rep to verify and correct
Check/Answer all emails for order changes and customer requests/needs
Answer all phone calls from customer service, sales, carriers, customers
Work with customer service to get credit hold orders released and to get orders entered for No Stock orders
Inventory
Manage min/max levels for all parts center inventory
Manage cell stock inventory to ensure oldest parts cells are being used on orders
Cycle counts to ensure inventory levels are accurate
Manage all inventories in 2 databases JDE and Access
Key out all orders in JDE to start the billing process
Label and count all inventories for year-end inventory in February
Organize and put away all new inventories each day
Consolidate new inventories with existing inventories to ensure inventory accuracy and space constraints
Export Orders
Schedule all export loads with the carriers
Work with customer service on shipping date all export loads going overseas are usually on credit hold
Re package cells and all loose parts into fully contained wooden crates. Have to create lid and nail down
Separate all battery parts shipped from the plant. They are usually shipped in one large container mixed up
Create all export documents and forward them to international department
Protect all cells/parts that have been built for Export sales order. All customer service and Sales can see cells/ parts in JDE and try to create orders using them vs. ordering new cells/parts for order
Consolidate cells as they get unloaded. Cells come on various days on separate trucks and multiple order come at same time
DC
Help DC get orders out each day
Make BOL to help them get done on time and get carriers out
Count pieces in trailers and compare them to BOL totals
Calculate BOL total weight and coordinate the use of a second trailer to avoid going over 44,000 lbs per trailer

High School Diploma or GED
Job related experience
Operate equipment used in maintaining accurate records; and operating pertinent software.
Calculate using fractions, percents, and/or ratios; read a variety of manuals, write documents following prescribed formats, and/or present information to others; and understand complex, multi-step written and oral instructions.
Work with others; work with data utilizing defined but different processes; and operate equipment using a variety of standardized methods.
Problem solving with data may require independent interpretation; and problem solving with equipment is limited to moderate problem solving may be required to identify issues and select action plans.
Attention to detail; communicating with a diverse group of individuals; adapting to changing work priorities; and meeting deadlines and schedules.

Able to see, hear and speak; able to sit, stand for at least two hours at a time, sit, bend, craw, squat, kneel and climb able to use both arms and hands to use a computer and peripherals and lift 40 pounds from floor level to overhead, able to work below ground level in confined spaces and on stationary or mobile elevated platforms, able to wear respirator and other PPE as required, able to climb stairs. Able to work extended shifts and weekends as needed.
Work Environment
Able to work inside or outside the plant environment and in all climate conditions. The employee may occasionally be exposed to lead, fume, noise, dirt, hazards, chemicals, heat and cold. Travel as required for training, meeting with regulatory agencies, and to other company sanctioned events.
