Motrex LLC Injection Molding Engineer in Lancaster, Pennsylvania
The Injection Molding Engineer manages activities as they relate to production injection molding machines. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, overseeing machine repairs and modifications, assuring machine safety is not compromised, verifying machine repeatability and calibration.
Maintain the molding machines in a condition such that they are available to run production.
Serve as a technical resource person for maintenance personnel performing work on IMM’s.
Document machine repairs and modifications.
Maintain history of machine repairs.
Work with Mold Engineer to ensure that IMM meets particular mold requirements.
Work with Quality Engineer on data collection projects relative to molding conditions.
Ensure that molding machines comply with OSHA safety regulations.
Specify components for repairs and modifications.
Education, Experience, Certifications:
Four-year college degree.
Minimum of two years experience troubleshooting electrical and hydraulic circuits.
Competency in simple algebra.
Competency in simple trigonometry.
Competency in reading hydraulic schematics.
Competency in reading electrical drawings.
Ability to build worksheets containing formulas e.g. Microsoft Excell.
Possess a thorough understanding of the functioning of injection molding machines.
Possess competance in troubleshooting hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems as found on IMM’s.
Understand the internal workings of hydraulic components.
Ability to design simple hydraulic, electrical, and electronic circuits.
Travel, other requirements:
